Poem: What matters

Poem: What matters

Our battles will be many, what matters is how we fight,

where we put our hearts & the reasons we delight,

Are we still fighting? OR Do we just give up?

We need to try harder each time our battles get tough!

There’s a lot of others struggling, often with no one to care,

Sometimes no one to notice the sorrows others bear,

Let’s  be a little KIND in this place we’re all sharing,

Our world is already broken,

AND WE ALL NEED SOME CARING!

Speak words of KINDNESS, it isn’t too late to start,

COMFORT a weary soul & maybe MEND A BROKEN HEART,

Let us try to see beyond all envy & anger,

Let us try to SIT & TALK before we hastily surrender,

Let us put our HEARTS into UNDERSTANDING with KINDNESS,

Let us delight in those who’ve overcome sadness,

For we are all a part of one BIG FAMILY,

And if we watch out for each other, many WONDERS we will see,

Yes, our battles may be many & it depends on how we fight,

Not only finding reasons but getting our hearts to do what’s right
