Poem: Don’t you blame yourself

They told you they would stay,

They told you they’ll be there, 

They always stuck with you,

Because they said they care,

But…

Now they’ve turned their backs,

Their demeanour makes you cry,

You keep questioning your actions,

You’re asking yourself “why?”

It isn’t your fault my dearest!

Don’t you blame yourself!!

Sometimes things just happen,

There’s no way to reason or tell,

And so when you face situations in which you often blame yourself, 

Turn to your heart and ask,

Did I mean well?

If the answer is YES,

Please don’t blame yourself!

Because sometimes things just happen, And there’s no reason to tell!
